Announcements Tuesday April 25, 2006

Hey everyone,
I can’t thank you guys enough for the mass amount of effort that you all put into the Blitz. Whether you talked to one business, picked up trash, or took on the role of leading an activity each one of you was a vital piece of the puzzle to make it complete yesterday. It was a huge success and has opened lots of doors to continue reaching people. Even though April 18th has past the Blitz is still not over. There are a few critical things that still need to happen and I desperately need your help with a couple things still. First I urge you guys to pray for all those that were reached April 18th (those in our own group, backsliding Christians, and most importantly the lost) we need to continue to go out to campus and show the love we showed yesterday and make it a lifestyle. Are you willing to continue that? Just remember it doesn’t have to take all day. You can just take one minute and talk to someone inviting them to our free lunch (or anything else) and let them know God loves them and it will be a success.

Super Summer Leaders Needed!!!

Super Summer 2006

Super Summer is a week where students (grade 7-12) from across Missouri gather to be challenged, to hear the Gospel, and to have fun! While SuperSummer is designed to help students grow in their faith in Christ and to equip them in building relationships and sharing their faith, we welcome any students that come prepared for this experience. Super Summer will be agreat place for students to understand what a relationship with Christ is all about. It will also provide a training ground and next level experience for students who desire a deeper walk.

The dates for Super Summer are:June 12-16, 2006 in Bolivar, MO at Southwest Baptist UniversityJune 19-23, 2006 in Hannibal, MO at Hannibal-LaGrange College

Our theme for this year is "YOU." Students will be sitting under the teaching of some incredible leaders during the day and learning how to engage with a lost culture. In the evening worship experience, we will all be learning about the greatness of God and the passionate pursuit of His presence in our lives.

We believe the greatest amount of life change happens within the context of small groups where relationships and trust are built. That is why we areasking you, as a college student, to come and be a part of this opportunity. We need college students who love Christ and have a heart to see younger students do the same. Your participation is absolutely vital to the success of Super Summer. We can't do this without you!

Your responsibility as a small group leader during the week is to spend time with students that are assigned to be in your small group. You will help them process what God is teaching them through the teaching times and how God is calling them to respond. There are specific times carved out for you to spend with them in this small group setting.

All of your meals and lodging will be provided for you during Super Summer. There is no cost for you to attend. You will just have to take care of your transportation enroute to Super Summer and back home. You will not need a car during the week. Everything will take place on the college campus.

If you are looking for an opportunity to minister in a short-term capacity this summer we would love to have you! Just go to www.mostudentz.com and click on the "Resources" link. You will then click on "Downloads" and"Documents" to find the small group leader application. It is easy to do and there are directions on the application on how to complete and send in your forms. The deadline to register is May 1st.

One more thing to note, there will be training for all small group leaders (whether you serve one week or two) June 9-10 in Jefferson City. It will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday and end at 9 p.m. on Saturday. Lodging and meals will be provided. Those serving the first week of Super Summer will then head down to Bolivar on Sunday and those only serving the second week will meet us in Hannibal on Sunday, June 18th.

If you have any questions please give us a call at 1-800-736-6227 ext.618. You can also email Angela Carson at acarson@mobaptist.org . We hope to see you there!
